random acts of kindness
and philanthropic support
by good people everywhere
The mission of providing random volunteer acts of kindness
and doing good deeds grew from seeds planted during the COVID pandemic of 2020.
When the world shut down, word spread about a weekly livestream series called "Tough Cookies."
Along with the hour of entertainment, through months of isolation,
there were steady words of encouragement and frequent, uplifting reminders to the viewers: stay strong and be tough, but also be sweet, like a cookie. An ever-present pineapple on the piano was another subtle message of tough sweetness. Simple acts of generosity like making donations to local charities were suggested as alternatives to tipping the band.
As social restrictions lifted, in person activities began in earnest
and fostered the volunteer effort called Tough Cookie Love.

And now those seeds have grown into an army of angels, under the wings of a muse named Amelia.
As in Amelia Earhart, the legendary American aviator who doggedly pursued her dreams.
